A report, post 1978, "Faculty and the Honor System" attempts to "define and evaluate the faculty's concerns" and addresses the responsibilities of the faculty to the honor system, the character and causes of faculty concerns, the proposal by Richard Mintel and suggestions regarding the recording of grades and granting of credit, honor offenses, and the alteration of the single sanction. A report, post 1981, from an Ad Hoc Commitee on Cheating and Plagiarism makes several recommendations for faculty action including a handbook, education of faculty, teaching assistants and students, physical measures designed to reduce cheating including the elimination of student exam files, and the allowing of direct accusations by faculty chairs.
